Questions please (UPADTED WITH A 'GET PUMPED' VIDEO)

And so the big day is upon us.

I got a great 'get-pumped" video a short time ago from a new reader to this blog. A guy named Bobby who's in the same boat as me - a Tribe Fan in Yankeeland.

This video is great for those of you missing the place right now as well as for anyone who's getting in the zone for tonight's game. Check it out here. I'm ready to sell my place in New York and buy a condo in the Warehouse District. Thanks Bobby!! Good luck with those Yankee fans tonight!!

------

Zillions of words have been written about who will win and why. Which team has it over the other in which area. What has to happen at what time for this team or that to win.

So many have written with such certainty about what they believe will be the outcome of this series between the Indians and Yankees.

But the truth is, it's all bunk.

Try answering these questions.

Which ARod will show up - the monster in pinstripes who bashed his way through the regular season, or the absent ARod who failed to show up in the post season the past two years?

Will the mature, determined, under-control CC we saw this season be on the mound? Or will the pressure of his first post-season turn the Indians ace back into the sometimes-frustrated, just-barely-under-control CC who just keeps trying to throw the ball harder and harder?

Will we see the slightly-above-average Indians offense that knocks in runs at just the right pace for the talented pitching staff, or will we see the team of pressing chokers we saw in July and August? With this team, that switch seems to go on and off in a hurry.

Andy Pettitte, for the most part, has been a top-tier pitcher this season. But two or three times he's strung together two or three games where he was awful. Which one will take the hill in game two?

The same observation could be made of Roger Clemens, with the added question of whether his hammy will blow out on him with a no-hitter going through five.

Will Jay Westbrook's sinker be sinking on Sunday night, or will he be too strong from too much rest and leave the ball up for the Yanks to tee off on?

Will Travis Hafner carry over his fine September into October, or will we see the sub-par Hafner we saw for most of the year.

Can rookie Asdrubal Cabrera handle post-season pressure? How about the young pitchers in both teams' bullpens?

What to expect of Joe Borowski?

Will Melky Cabrera, Hideki Matsui and Jason Giambi continue to hit below the Mendoza line in October, as they did for much of September?

Will the Tribe bring CC back on three days rest for game four, only to have to lift him after three innings because of a two-and-a-half hour rain delay?

No matter what you've read, or the lines coming out of Las Vegas there are only a couple of things that can be said for certain.

The Yankees and Indians will play at least thee games over at least the next four days and my stomach will be tied in a knot the entire time.

How have I not seen this site before? This is awesome! I am a Tribe Fan in Yankeeland also. I got you covered across the Hudson here in Jersey. 7 hours til game time and I am stirring in my chair. Can't get any work done and I have gotten into numerous arguments already. "We swept you, CC is 1-7 against the Yankees." Sick of it. Some girl at my work just walked past me with a Joba shirt on. The dudes been in the league for 3 months!. We need a Victor HR off that guy in the 8th. It will be 1997 all over again!

CC needs to come up big tonite. You can bet your ass I will have my Tribe jersey on tomorrow at work. Going out with Yankee fans to watch the game. Hopefully rub it in their faces.

Go Tribe!

Bobby:

You're a braver man than I. I'm watching the game with two Yankee fans, but they're my kids - so I can threaten them with cutting off food, water and shelter if the get too wise-assed.

The Joba thing drives me NUTS!!! They didn't put him in one tight spot the entire time he's been up. A three-run dinger off him is exactly what we need.

If you're the guy who logged on from Jersey City we may be closer than you think. I'm sitting in my JC office right now trying to find a way to concentrate enough to get some work done.

Glad you found the blog. It's only been around since the All-Star break and I'm having lots of fun with it. Tell any other Tribe fans you know who are "off the rservation" and - if you feel like it - post something tomorrow about your night in the bar with Yankee fans.

If I can handle being at Yankee Stadium on April 19th and watching Jobo implode in the 9th, I can pretty much handle anything any Yankee fan can throw at me. Staying home to watch tonites game. Going out tomorrow. Work in Parsippany and live in Jefferson Township with my Tribe flag hanging proudly in front of my house. I will certainly post about my experience. I could write a book. I must tell you that some Yankee fan stole my Chief Wahoo magnet off my car yesterday and I am a little ticked.

Enjoy the game. I will check back in tomorrow (hopefully for the happy recap). Keep the kids in line.

I was at the JoBo disaster in April as well, and two nights earlier watching Westbrook struggle. Fortunately things are looking a lot better than they looked back then.

to anser your questions

Which ARod will show up - the monster in pinstripes who bashed his way through the regular season, or the absent ARod who failed to show up in the post season the past two years?

I HOPE THE "NO SHOW"

Will the mature, determined, under-control CC we saw this season be on the mound? Or will the pressure of his first post-season turn the Indians ace back into the sometimes-frustrated, just-barely-under-control CC who just keeps trying to throw the ball harder and harder?

ALL THINGS CONSIDERED I THINK HE STAYED UNDER THE CONTROL WITH THAT TIGHT STRIKE ZONE

Will we see the slightly-above-average Indians offense that knocks in runs at just the right pace for the talented pitching staff, or will we see the team of pressing chokers we saw in July and August? With this team, that switch seems to go on and off in a hurry.

GOOD PATIENCE - OPPOSITE FIELD HITTING GOOD AT BATS

Andy Pettitte, for the most part, has been a top-tier pitcher this season. But two or three times he's strung together two or three games where he was awful. Which one will take the hill in game two?

WILL FIND OUT TOMORROW

The same observation could be made of Roger Clemens, with the added question of whether his hammy will blow out on him with a no-hitter going through five.

WE MAY FIND OUT SUNDAY

Will Jay Westbrook's sinker be sinking on Sunday night, or will he be too strong from too much rest and leave the ball up for the Yanks to tee off on?

ANOTHER SUNDAY ANSWER

Will Travis Hafner carry over his fine September into October, or will we see the sub-par Hafner we saw for most of the year.

YES HE WILL

Can rookie Asdrubal Cabrera handle post-season pressure? How about the young pitchers in both teams' bullpens?

DIDNT LOOK GOOD IN FIRST INNING
BUT CABRERA LOOKED ALRIGHT - DITTO FOR THE RELIEF PITCHERS

What to expect of Joe Borowski?

IF HE DOESNT PITCH THE WHOLE SERIES IT WILL BE FINE WITH ME

Will Melky Cabrera, Hideki Matsui and Jason Giambi continue to hit below the Mendoza line in October, as they did for much of September?

I HOPE SO -

Will the Tribe bring CC back on three days rest for game four, only to have to lift him after three innings because of a two-and-a-half hour rain delay?

GOING TO WIN IN THREE - DOESNT MATTER -

GARKO JUST WENT YARD - 4 HRS

TOMORROW NIGHT IS HOMECOMING AT HIGH SCHOOL - FOOTBALL GAME OR INDIANS GAME

EASY ANSWER - SEE YOU TOMORROW

GO TRIBE

GIVE IT TO YOUR KIDS WHILE YOU CAN

Sweeeeeeet! Damn, I almost passed out in the 5th.

Do you know what the best part is about living in the Evil Empire after a Yankee loss?? You get to watch all the boo-hooing and tham trying to figure out what went wrong.

I can tell you that it was the worst umping game I have ever seen behind the plate. That strike zone was so tight.

On to Game 2 baby. Lets go Fausto!!
